Thermoelectric Generator Project

This project was for the MECH351 (Thermodynamics 2) class. The task was to design and construct a 10-inch-long toy car that could go at least one meter up a 20-degree slopeThis project was unique in that the car could only be heated with a tealight or hot water, and a thermoelectric generator was the only source of power. The goal of this project was to show how thermodynamic principles can be used in the real world by testing the limits of traditional vehicle propulsion systems and looking into the possibilities of thermoelectric technology.
